President Donald Trump on Friday blasted California Lieutenant Governor and gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newsom for supporting universal health care for illegal immigrants, asking, “What happens if the whole world decides to go to California?”
Speaking at a North Carolina event, Trump said Newsom wants “health care for everyone. He wants everything for everyone. He wants to open up the borders. He wants to take care of everyone.”
“And I was just saying, what happens if the whole world decides to go to California?” Trump continued.
Trump said Newsom’s plan means “they’re going to take care of the whole world.”
“Where do you stop?” Trump asked. “You’re going to take care of a lot of people, but they’re not going to be able to do it for very long because it’s not going to work.”
Earlier this week, Newsom said he would like to extend San Francisco’s universal healthcare plan for illegal immigrants that he ushered in when he was mayor to the rest of the state.
“I did universal health care when I was mayor. Fully implemented, regardless of pre-existing conditions, ability to pay, and regardless of your immigration status,” Newsom said. “San Francisco is the only universal health care plan for all undocumented residents in America. Very proud of that. We proved it could be done without bankrupting the city. I’d like to see that extended to the rest of the state.”
Newsom also claimed on Twitter that offering universal health care to illegal immigrants is “the economically smart thing to do.”
“If we don’t offer coverage to everyone – regardless of income or immigration status – we will still carry the expense,” Newson said. “Universal access isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s the economically smart thing to do.”

The term “illegal immigrant” is an oxymoron. There are illegal aliens or immigrants. Using the term illegal immigrant gives fuel to the argument that conservatives are against immigrants.

Gavin repeats the same fallacy that all Democrats do: he assumes the United States and its taxpayers must foot the bill for poverty worldwide. But where is the liberal calls for nations like Mexico to reform themselves? Victor Davis Hanson made it clear that fair skinned blue eyed Mexican citizens and politicians have no guilty conscience about shipping brown skinned natives to the United States. This allows the elites south of the American border to avoid dealing with their own problems. You can say the same thing about all of the poorer nations where political science has not yet evolved up to The Enlightenment. The Great Hypocrisy.

Putting aside all the other damage he has done to San Francisco, Gavin Newsom is simply lying as usual about “doing universal health care when he was mayor.” What he claims responsibility for having done in San Francisco not only didn’t work on its own but it has no resemblance whatsoever to what a completely unworkable unaffordable statewide universal health care system would look like.

What a never-ending nightmare this guy would be as governor.
I worked in San Francisco when the health care was implemented. Restaurants moved out of San Francisco in droves or just closed their doors. Guess he forgot. I started bringing my lunch more or ate at the corporate cafe in my building. They didn’t charge the sf health care tax. If I remember correctly, it was almost 2%, and that was over the already high 8 1/2%.
The ONLY thing CA needs is MENTAL HEALTH care for Gabby Tiresome.

This is not a correct political thing to say, but what Gavin is doing is stroking the fires of racism. Why? Because the hard working American citizen who will be paying (taxes, remember government has no money of its own) for his “political charity” will eventually become resentful against the illegal who is reaping the benefits of the citizens hard work. There will be outcries against this in time, which is defined as racism. Once again the Democrats proceed with their agenda without thinking of the un-intened consequences. With this type of thinking California is lost—next comes America. This is totally against what America was; is, and should be! Let’s don’t lose that because of tyrants like Newsom.
