Lawmakers, led by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, moved a dozen bills, including those expanding California’s historic 1989 ban on assault weapons, barring possession of high-capacity magazines that accommodate more than 10 rounds of ammunition, instituting tighter deadlines for owners to report lost or stolen firearms and regulating ammunition sales.
While California’s gun-control laws are among the toughest in the nation, the latest effort comes amid a series of unabated massacres dominating the headlines – from the December shooting in San Bernardino where two terrorists killed 14 people to the recent attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., where an aggrieved shooter gunned down 49 people and injured more than 50 others, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
De León authored the ammunition regulation bill after a past attempt requiring in-person ammo sales was tossed out in court for being too vague. He called it “ridiculous” that terrorist sympathizers and some gang members are using America’s broken gun laws system to harm communities. …
God, I hope some one takes this shit to court.I suggested to de Leon that he got the feds to come down hard on felons possessing guns, felons using guns to commit a crime and anyone getting life for murder with a gun. Never got a word back from him. Do you think because all of the gang bangers are Latino has anything to do with it? Look at Illinois with the toughest gun laws in the country and then 20 a week shot in Chicago.
Why are we always playing catchup? Beyond sick of this! The Tea Party failed, couldn’t get good Conservatives elected and the GOP is Dead.
Convention of States and Replacing the GOP is our ONLY hope.

Just had another idea. There are about 30000 killed a year with guns. 18,000 are suicides and the bulk of the rest are gang related. Then I looked at automobile deaths. About the same numbers. With de Leon’s thinking we should STOP driving cars or seriously limit their usage.
In the case of the Sam Bernardino shooting -it was Islam’s terrorists -that is ok’ed by the filthy koran for filthy islam. It has to be spelled out over and over -and still the Left-libs refuse to address it. Have they been monitoring the mosques -imams and what goes on inside that place? Of course not — If you don’t name the enemy and check it out then it will continue. Of course J.Brown is clueless with all the liberals as well.
