Vice President Harris and former President Trump to face off in their first and potentially only debate ahead of the 2024 presidential election, in battleground Pennsylvania
In a margin of error race with eight weeks to go until Election Day and early voting getting underway this month in some crucial battleground states, it is hard not to underscore the importance of Tuesday’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

“It’s going to frame the race in people’s minds and have a decisive impact,” veteran GOP strategist and Republican Jewish Coalition CEO Matt Brooks told Fox News Digital.
Republican consultant and Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer emphasized that there is “a lot at stake in this debate.”
While Trump is a very well known commodity in the minds of American voters, they are considerably less familiar with Harris.
“For the first time people are really going to get to see her and whether she can stand on her own two feet,” argued Fleischer, a White House press secretary under then-President George W. Bush.
Harris and Trump will share the same stage at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center in an ABC News debate in their first and perhaps only face-to-face encounter ahead of the presidential election.
Harris has enjoyed a wave of momentum in both polling and fundraising since replacing President Biden at the top of the Democrats’ 2024 ticket in July, but Republicans argue Americans’ honeymoon with the vice president is subsiding.

Harris: “I will be tough on the border”
Trump: “20 million invaded this country under your watch as border czar. If you believe the border is bad now, wait till Kamala fulfills her pledge to give free healthcare to illegals.”
Harris: “I will lower prices”
Trump: “You’ve had almost 4 years to lower prices, yet here we are. If you have a magic wand for reducing costs, why wait? Use it now. The fact is, your policies have led to inflation, not relief.”
Harris: “You’re a convicted felon”
Trump: “My legal battles are a badge of my fight against a corrupt establishment. If I had sold out like many in Washington, I wouldn’t be facing these charges. This isn’t justice, it’s political retribution.”
Harris: “Let’s talk about Project 2025”
Trump: “Project 2025? That’s a diversion. Let’s talk about the real project that’s failed America—Project 2021, otherwise known as your administration’s track record. I’ve publicly distanced myself from Project 2025, and your focus on it only shows you’re out of touch with what Americans really care about.”
Harris: “A woman has a right to choose”
Trump: “I believe in democracy, where states decide on issues like abortion, reflecting the will of their people. But let’s not forget, you’ve advocated for mandates that took away individual choice, like with the COVID vaccine.”
Harris: “What about January 6th?”
Trump: “You supported and bailed out the rioters in Minneapolis. You encouraged them, telling them not to stop. $2 billion worth of property damage and dozens kiIIed.”
