Bill Essayli, the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, joined California Politics 360 this week to respond to claims California’s Democratic leaders have made to support their push to ban most officers from wearing masks during law enforcement operations.
Essayli sent a memo to federal law enforcement officials Friday, directing them to ignore the law when it takes effect in 2026.

On California Politics 360, Essayli signaled the federal government won’t take any further action related to the new California law while stating he would not be surprised if Gov. Gavin Newsom sued the Trump administration over it.
“That’s about all he’s good at doing, wasting California taxpayer dollars,” Essayli said.
Democrats have said the new state law is needed to hold officers accountable for their actions and ensure people know for sure they are interacting with law enforcement.

It is clear Il Duche aka Slick is more and more irrelevant in the State of Calif.
When the split the State goes to a vote there is more and more indication the Radical Socialist Party (Dem) will see a sizable vote to get rid of them.
People come to Calif. to get away from the east coast high density skyscraper mentality.
Sue them, force them, and the list of the RSP Sacramento dictatorship continues.
Masks????? Federal Gov. doesn’t have to pay any attention. As was said above “wasting California taxpayer dollars….” is what the Radicals in Sacramento are good for.
How many $Billions is it in debit?
You voted for them.
